Deep green, thin, with an unmistakable spinach flavour.
Made from durum wheat semolina, kneaded with selected eggs and spinach, worked with the bronze dies typical of Abruzzo's chitarra and slowly dried at low temperature. The name itself, "Tortoretana", tells its origins: Tortoreto, a small coastal town just outside Giulianova.
Perfect with butter and sage, a light tomato sauce, or simply a drizzle of olive oil to let the spinach flavour shine.
P.S. "La pasta agli spinaci che racconta Tortoreto"!
(the spinach pasta that tells the story of Tortoreto!)
